
Engg. Hamid Hasan Khan, PE, CEO of NPM Private
Limited, received his mechanical engineering degree
from University of Peshawar in 1976. Mr. Khan
belongs to a family of engineers, dating back
to 20th century. His father late Professor Shafaat
Ahmad Khan was a prominent engineer and had been
founding member and Principal of Engineering College,
Peshawar (now University of Engineering &
Technology, Peshawar) After working for largest
construction company several years, he enrolled
at Qaud-e-Azam University for MBA program and
earned a MBA degree in 1980 with specialization
in Finance. Mr. Khan then consulting experience
first with Enar Petrotech in Pakistan and then
with Dyna Systems out of Mcleans, Washington DC.

Mr. Khan
launched NPM on his return from US in 1989, as
a one-person operation in 1989. Since that time,
the firm has rapidly grown into one of the premier
civil, structural, project management and engineering
firms in Pakistan with offices in Karachi, Multan,
Lahore, Faisalabad and Islamabad. NPM has been
awarded many large private and public sector contracts,
such as project Sadique Trade Centre, Lahore,
Jacranda Club, Islamabad DAWN Building at Islamabad,
Gas Pipelines for Tullow Oil, OMV and multiple
projects for POL, Rawalpindi, Khaur and Pindori
fields. |

His involvement
in teaching and leadership began in the
1990s, and he has served on visiting faculty
at Quaid-e-Azam University and Allama Iqbal
Open University Islamabad. numerous boards
and advisory committees. He was on Roman
Catholic Diocese Committee for Buildings
and most recently committee for fuel efficiency
on road transport. |
His numerous
other appointments includes the Project
Director for United National Development
Program in Pakistan member of Institution
of Engineers, Pakistan. He continues to
play a key leadership role in NPM, focusing
on business development and consulting,
in addition to his community duties. |
